evian Serves 200 Years Young With 200 Limited-Edition Bottle Bags
As The Championships return, evian marks its 200 Years Young milestone by teaming up with a new wave of UK artists to release a limited collection of 200 bottle bags - turning hydration on the go into one of the season’s most collectable accessories.

This year, evian celebrates 200 years since first bottling its natural mineral water in 1826 with a limited-edition collection of summer-ready bottle bags.
Designed in collaboration with UK artists Ed Curtis, Hattie Stewart and Diana Al Shammari, the collection brings a playful, creative energy to evian’s long-standing connection to tennis and The Championships, Wimbledon.
Each artist has created a unique design, resulting in three standout variations that reimagine evian’s 200 Years Young spirit through recognisable motifs inspired by evian, summer celebrations and the world of Wimbledon.

The artists behind the bottle bag designs
Diana Al Shammari
Diana Al Shammari is a London-based designer and embroiderer whose work explores the intersection of sport, fashion, culture and storytelling.
Through intricate embroidery and mixed-media embellishment, she transforms sportswear, footwear and everyday objects into one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.
Over the past decade, she has worked with global brands, elite athletes, musicians, magazines, museums and galleries, creating bespoke works that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary culture.
Her work is recognised for bringing a highly detailed, hand-crafted approach to sport and lifestyle design, transforming familiar objects into pieces that celebrate identity, community and personal expression.

Inspiration Behind the Design
The inspiration for the bottle bag was the English garden. I wanted the design to feel as though it had naturally grown from a traditional English garden, with layers of wildflowers and blooms wrapping around the bag to create a sense of movement, depth and discovery.
Built around evian’s “200 Years Young” celebration, the florals are designed to feel fresh, fluid and optimistic. Small playful details, including strawberries and crossed tennis rackets, anchor the design in the world of Wimbledon while adding recognisable moments for people to discover as they explore the piece.
The embroidery is intentionally layered, creating a lush garden effect that feels alive and evolving from every angle.
The colour palette is light and fresh, built around soft pinks, greens and subtle pastel tones, reflecting both Wimbledon and evian’s visual identities while bringing a youthful sense of energy and optimism to the final design.

Ed Curtis
Ed Curtis is a London-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans installation, fashion design, and textile art. In contrast to the intricate techniques he learnt through his career in fashion, Ed creates his own works with a raw and experimental approach. Whether he’s working on a fashion collection or special projects, his staple designs are like electrifying bursts of saturated energy.
Ed creates his own euphoric world through his art - his motifs are sanguine symbols of letting go, losing control and joy!
The visual language of his works celebrates the necessity of breaking from routine into a space of uninhibited freedom.

Inspiration Behind the Design
When I think of Wimbledon, I think of the very best of the British summer. This piece brings together evian’s natural purity with that feeling of optimism and energy, drawing inspiration from the iconic rituals of the Championships.
Created through hand layered appliqué, the artwork combines tactile craftsmanship with bold colour, signature spirals, stars and layered typography to breathe new life into Wimbledon’s timeless aesthetic while celebrating 200 years of evian through a fresh, youthful perspective.

Hattie Stewart
Hattie Stewart is a contemporary British artist and illustrator best known for her distinctive illustration style where she adds playful artworks to existing magazine covers, advertisements, and other printed media. Her work is characterised by vibrant colour palettes, cartoonish figures, and a sense of humour that often blends the cute and kitsch with the subversive. By avoiding a more conventional illustrative style, her work is bold and experimental in application, enabling her to eschew the more traditional boundaries within the field of illustration - it is ever evolving.
In the early stages of her career, her notoriety increased due to a personal project initially titled 'doodle-bombing' - which lead her to draw over the covers of influential publications such as Interview, Vogue, i:D and Playboy. Part homage and part satire, this personal project which began in 2010 formed the basis of most of her commercial projects and personal endeavours.
Beyond, her works have also been applied to product, murals, animation and sculpture. Over the last decade, her work has gradually gained international attention, leading to collaborations with various fashion houses and magazines, as well as independent publishers and musical artists. Her style is easily recognisable and her irreverent approach has made her a notable figure in the world of contemporary illustration.

Inspiration Behind the Design
I wanted to create a playful yet clean illustration that celebrates the partnership between Wimbledon and Evian, while also marking Evian’s 200th anniversary. By combining iconic motifs like tennis balls, strawberries, and water with the energy of my own characters, everything came together into a fun, celebratory piece!
I chose a pared-back colour palette inspired by Evian's signature colours, which I feel works well to balance out the detail in the piece. I also included the word 'hydrate' as a fun little reminder to beat the summer heat!
